Ranieri Tomei (Ron)
August 25th, 1966 - October 11th, 2017
RonTomei passed away on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at the age of 51. Ron was born and raised in Calgary. He was an executive chef and worked the past 5 years with Age Care as Hospitality Manager. He loved his job and the seniors. At home, the doors were always open to feed friends. Ron loved to fly and was very proud of Massimo's commitment to The Royal Canadian Air Cadets. He had a great sense of humour and was easy going by nature. He loved fine dining, cooking and travel, and also loved camping, fishing and the outdoors. He always dreamed of returning to Italy to visit his parent's home towns.
Ron was adored by his children and family. He was supportive, caring and kind. He will be dearly missed by his wife Cody McCaw; four children Massimo Tomei (12), Aleah Tomei (17), Breanna Tomei (21) and Justin Tomei (23); sister Stefania (Rob) Kerr; and brother Elio (Doreen) Tomei.
An open house to celebrate Ron's life will be held at the Banff Trail Community Association (2115-20 Ave NW) on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
