July 19, 1939 - Sioux Lookout, Ontario
December 20, 2018 -Airdrie, Alberta
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Doris on Thursday, December 20th, while in the care of the Airdrie Bethany Care Home.
Doris lived life to its fullest through simple pleasures.
She was a wonderful homemaker, creating a beautifully decorated home with antiques. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends. Doris had many special talents including being an amazing artist and seamstress and leaves behind many keepsakes to cherish and remember her by.
Doris was a beautiful, loving and caring lady. She was the incredible wife of Peter for 61 years, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris was also a friend to many, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her”.
We will miss her beautiful smile, her laughter and all the love in which she gave to each and everyone of us.
The family wishes to thank all relatives, friends and neighbors for their expression of sympathy and support.
Special thanks are extended to the staff of Bethany Care Home.
A private family celebration of her life will take place this summer in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
