The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Monica Chaput can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Pam, Louise+ Rodney & your family, dear Ryan & Lauren,

I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful Mom & Grandmother and offer you my sincere condolences.

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Chaput , my friend Shirley's mom. I remember her delicious baking and food, her generous gift of a hand made white blanket when our daughter Kim was christened, how meticulously she maintained her property and hedge in Pierrefonds, her strong physical stamina , her determination and independent spirit, her work ethic, her humour and sense of fun. I remember how she drove her friends to Fairview to shop and visited them at home or in the hospital.

In recent years, I witnessed her faith and resilience. She was very proud of her three daughters and her three grandchildren. I heard how she loved and appreciated each for their unique qualities.

We were indeed blessed to have such an active, healthy positive role model live for 96 years. We will all miss her.
