Obituary for Albert George Numan

NUMAN, Albert George
December 19, 1963 – October 6, 2017

It is with profound sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my best friend and husband Albert George Numan. Al was a strong believer in family and friends. He will be forever missed by myself (Patty Numan), his beautiful daughter Courtney Numan McMullan (Scott), his sports fanatic son Kyle Numan (Caitlin Ellis), and his first and favorite grandchild, Landon Frank Numan McMullan. Also left to mourn his passing are his in-laws Merle and Isabell Gilbertson; his nephews Robert and Steven MacDougall and their families. Al will be welcomed on the other side by his much loved father Frank, his mother Mae and his uncle Jack Brinkman.

For those of us who knew and loved Al, he was everyone’s friend. He had a heart of gold and a never- ending sense of humor, able to find the funny line or conspiracy theory in whatever was presented. Yet, if anyone ever needed him, Al would always be there. He was a wonderful cook and it was through food that he often brought all of us together. In life, we all experience struggles, as did Al.
It was his love for his family that allowed him to persevere and overcome whatever presented. Al was a great dancer, he was a Stampeders, Flames and a 49ers fan. His passion for golf was influential with his family and everyone enjoyed the game with him. He experienced his feelings deeply and his loyalty was immeasurable.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Riverbend Community Hall (19 Rivervalley Dr SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. A little ceremony will be held at 1:30 pm for anyone who would like to share a memory. All friends and family are welcome to attend. To view and share photos, condolences and stories of Albert please visit www.choicememorial.com. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services (403) 277-7343.
