Jane Starr Stirling - 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Dulcina Hospice. Jane was born on December 30, 1951 to Robert “Rob” and the late Faye (Gertridge) Stirling. Jane attended school in Wolfville and Greenwich, and graduated from Dalhousie University. Jane had a passion for design and creating, whether it was completing renovations on her own home, planting beautiful gardens or sewing dresses for her nieces when they were little and years later for her granddaughter. Jane's talent for design touched her family and many of her friends.

Jane is survived by her children, Elliott Jr. (Spring Dawn) Redeker, Jennifer Redeker and Christopher Redeker; their father Elliott Redeker and her granddaughter, Charlize Redeker. She is also survived by sisters, Bonnie Stirling and Marilyn Hiltz; brothers, Blair, Tony and Joel; as well as her step-sister Kathryn "Kathy" Routliffe and step-brother Warren "Mac" Routliffe.

She was predeceased by her older brother, John and her step-mother Mary Glen Stirling. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dennis Schoolman of Germany, without his selfless stem cell donation in 2007, Jane would not have enjoyed the last ten years with her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gaspereau United Baptist Church (2828 Greenfield Rd, Gaspereau, NS B4P 2R1) on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Having been an avid gardener Jane loved flowers and one of her wishes was to have her friends and family bring a single flower or small bouquet to her services. Vases will be provided and the flowers will be arranged and delivered to local nursing homes following the services.
