Obituary for Matthew Ryan Kwasnica

Matthew Ryan Kwasnica
Matthew Ryan Kwasnica
April 19, 1992-September 9, 2017

On Saturday September 9th, 2017, Matthew passed away suddenly at age 25, in Calgary Alberta.

Handsome and standing tall at six foot two, Matthew always had a big smile and an even bigger hug to give to loved ones, old friends and new acquaintances. Matthew had a heart of gold and always a kind word to say. Always showing an interest in who he was talking to, one could not help but know that Matthew genuinely cared.

Passions in life that Matthew enjoyed, were spending time with his sister Sarah and friends, listening to a great variety of music and working out at the gym.

For a number of years Matthew was caregiver, helper and companion to his father, Martin Qually who preceded Matthew in death two years ago.

The first 5 years of his life, Matthew spent in Los Angeles, which he always considered his second home. Friends old and young, that he made while living in the USA, always remained special to him. Matthew also enjoyed a year being a beach baby on the island of Kaui.

Matthew is survived by his mother Susan Allyson and her husband Darrell Turner; loving sister/soul-mate Sarah Kwasnica and her partner Kyle Falconer; Grandmother Ingrid Lippert, Uncle Mike and Aunt Tracey; Uncle Miro and Auntie Diane and the many friends and extended family who loved him so very much.

A Memorial Service will take place at the Crystal Shores Beach House (403 Milligan Drive, Okotoks) on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Matthew may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (www.camh.ca).
