Obituary for Christine Mary Clark (Wik)

Christine Mary Clark (Wik)
Clark, Christine Mary
October 9, 1952 – September 11, 2017

After a 2 ½ year long battle with cancer, Chris spent her last days, comfortable, under the care of the amazing staff at Dulcina Hospice in Calgary. Chris passed away peacefully the evening of September 11th, surrounded by her family. The second of four children, Christine was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Following a few moves, her family settled in Fort St. John, British Columbia. This is where she met her husband and best friend. Following their marriage in 1982, the couple moved to Calgary where they have resided ever since.

Christine leaves behind a loving family; husband Don, children Janelle and Katelyn, son-in-law Patrick and two granddaughters Madison and Elizabeth. She is survived by brothers Bruce Wik (Gwen), Alex Wik (Colleen), Jerry Wik (Danita), eight brother & sister in-laws and her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her unmistakable zest for life and her courageous spirit that she never lost even in the end.

A Celebration of Life has been planned for Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the NexSource Centre from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The NexSource Centre is located at 4823 – 49th Avenue in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. To view and share photos, condolences and stories of Chris please visit www.choicememorial.com.
