Obituary for Rennie Kay Hjelsvold (Kobsar)

Rennie Kay Hjelsvold (Kobsar)
Rennie Hjelsvold
July 4th, 1951 - Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017

After a very long and courageous battle with cancer we lost our wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Rennie leaves behind her loving husband Ken Hjelsvold, son Jason Hjelsvold, daughter-in-laws Jody Hjelsvold, Nikki Hjelsvold, Melody Edgson & Allyson Surbey Hjelsvold, well as 7 grandchildren (Taylor, Jayden, Lee, Mikenna, Parker, Carter and Charlie). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and two very special great nieces Hanna and Kory who made her beam every time they were around.

We find comfort to know that Rennie will now be reunited with her father and mother, Matt and Margaret Kobsar, her oldest son Randall Hjelsvold, youngest son Perry Hjelsvold, grandson Blake Hjelsvold and baby brother Sheldon Kobsar who have gone before her.

Rennie was a women who amplified the word strong, she fought right up until the end. She had a passion for life and especially family. During this time she enjoyed her visits from so many family and good friends and every visit helped to keep her spirits up.

As per Rennies request, there will be no funeral service but if you wish donations can be made in her name to the Dulcina Hospice (110 Evanspark Manor NW, Calgary, Alberta T3P 0N4) where she spent the last months of her life and where she received the utmost care from the amazing staff there!

We would like to thank the staff at the hospice as well as all of our family and friends for the support over the past few months.

Rest In Peace Momma Jelly . Enjoy your time with our boys and grandma. We all love you very much.
