Marlene Anderson
June 22, 1948 - July 30, 2017

Marlene Anderson, age 69, passed away on July 30, 2017 at Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta. She was born on June 22, 1948 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Elizabeth and Tom Carriere. Marlene worked in the oil and banking sectors for many years while also caring for the family. Her greatest loves were her children and grandchildren, and her husband, Edward Anderson. With all her heart, she was dedicated to them all.

In her spare time, Marlene enjoyed doing all kinds of puzzles, especially crosswords. She liked shopping and buying the latest "As Seen On TV" gadgets. Marlene also liked watching true crime shows on TV, as well as The Young and the Restless soap opera. She enjoyed going for coffee with friends and family; Ricky's restaurants were some of her favourites. Marlene was great at fashion and was always very stylish in her clothing and hair. She loved music and singing and dancing, and was a great joker and storyteller - all trademark characteristics of the Métis people. She was so loved there are no words for how much she will be missed. A big piece of our hearts was taken away with her passing.

A service celebrating Marlene's life will take place on Sunday, August 6 at 3:00 pm at Choice Memorial, 105, 4715 - 13 Street NE, Calgary for family and close friends.
