It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joe Janes on Thursday, July 27th, 2017 at the age of 53. Joe was born and raised in Calgary. He was an avid Flames and Stampeders fan. His generosity and giving nature will be remembered by many.
Joe will be forever loved and remembered by his mom Elsie; brother Roy (Carol); sisters Debbie (Rick) and Karen (Scott); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his father Eric.
A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. You are welcome to pay tribute to Joe by wearing red or a Flames or Stampeders Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (www.cmha.calgary.ab.ca).
