January 3rd, 1932 - Wednesday, July 26th, 2017
Lothar Horder, age 85, of Calgary, Alberta, died peacefully Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Rockyview Hospital from complications of lung disease. Born January 3, 1932, in Vietzig, Germany, Lothar immigrated to Canada in 1963.
Lothar was an entrepreneur who owned and operated many businesses in Canada and Germany prior to his retirement. He loved watching and following soccer and was an avid walker who enjoyed being outdoors. His frequent trips back to Germany gave him great joy.
He is pre-deceased by his wife Anneliese, mother Bertha, father Walter and sister Gerda.
He is survived by his two sons Peter Horder (Barb) and Andy Horder (Kathy) along with 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews and relatives.
At Lothar's request there will not be a funeral service. Cremation will take place with a celebration of life at a later date.
