Obituary for James Keith "Jim" Ball

BALL, James (Jim) Keith
October 29, 1956 - April 19, 2017

James K. Ball, age 60, passed away on the morning of April 19th, 2017 with his wife and daughter Naedean at his side. Born on October 29th, 1956 in Calgary, Alberta. After spending a year in Priddis, Jim, his sister Shannon, father Ron and mother Lallie came to settle in South Calgary. After attending Western Canada high school, Jim found a job at Air Canada which lent him the opportunities of traveling all around the world. Experiences which taught him lessons and philosophies about life. Lessons that he cherished and happily shared with those that he loved. Jim worked many years for the armored car company Garda World, and is where he met his wife Judy. Jim never had just one hobby. He will always be remembered for the incredibly diverse array of things he was interested in and he loved to talk about and share his interests with others. His quick wit, laugh and deep and contagious sense of adventure will be sorely missed by all those that knew him. Always a strong, caring and passionate man. A friend of many.

Jim is survived by his wife Judy (Brand); his daughter Megan and her husband Pat Clark; grandchildren Elenor and Peter; his daughter Naedean and her husband Todd Fraser; and his son Adam and his wife Jayna Rasmussen. Jim is also survived by his sister Shannon and husband Gary Mouck, two nephews Kevin and his wife Amanda; Ryan and his wife Lynn and their two children.

A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at the Holiday Inn (4206 Macleod Trail, Calgary) on April 29th, 2017 at 4:00pm.
