Condolence From: Jody Christman
Condolence: Darcy, Ayla, and all of Cheryl's family. Like so many I am saddened by the news of Cheryl's passing. I was lucky enough to work with Cheryl at INOVA (Aram) for over 10 years. We started at Aram only a few months apart. She always made a person laugh. I have many fond memories at our golf tournaments, social occasions, and generally goofing around at work. Yet when it was time to work, no one worked harder than Cheryl. If you were going to go against her, you'd have a challenge on your hands. But she pushed me and taught me to be a better staff. To see the bigger picture and to work well with other departments. She will be sadly missed by so many of us. My prayers go out to you all.

Condolence From: Deborah Ferguson
Condolence: Dearest Ayla: I am so sorry for the loss of your mom in your life. She was so young! I know, as a mother myself, that she knew you loved her no matter what, that she loved to see your successes and that she stood by you in her heart when life was a little rougher for you. She delighted in watching you grow and develop into the person you are now. Through your amazing talents, you would have made her laugh, and made her life so much richer. She will watch over you now, and always love you. Sincerely, Deborah Ferguson

Condolence From: Andrea Bilodeau
Condolence: I did not know Cheryl long, we shared a room in January for a conference. We laughed so much – more than I had in a long time! I felt as though I knew Darcy and Ayla – she spoke of both of you often -lots of funny love filled stories! She had become a great friend via phone as we spoke often, comparing notes on what we heard and sharing the joys and frustrations of the days! She had an amazing capacity for happiness and laugher -she could laugh at herself and with others with a real sense of kindness. It is going to be a while before I stop thinking “I really have to call Cheryl about that”. I will miss her very much! To her much loved family I send my thoughts for the days ahead.

When working with Cheryl for a short time, I could always count on seeing a smiling face coming from her office. Condolence: Darcy, My heart is heavy as I send you thoughts and prayers from Dawn and I. Both at work, on CSEG committee, and social functions, Cheryl was always a light in the group. I remember after the Doodlespiel one year, every time we visited each others office, she would point at the picture of our curling team wearing Team Canada jerseys and say "I love that picture", with a great big smile on her face. I will always remember her smile and cheer, and we will miss her. A great lady! Dawn and I are thinking of you and your family during this sad time. God bless you all, Gary & Dawn James
