Obituary for Allen Andrew Imler
April 1, 1955 – December 31, 2016
Allen is survived by his children - Christie (Rob) and Dean. His 3 wonderful grandchildren Nicole, Brooke and Reese. His father Herb (step-mom Madalene), and his sisters Janet (Kevin), Donna (Wayne), Sue (Darryl) and Carrie. As well as his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Allen was born and raised in Calgary. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret in 2003. His family (especially his beloved grandchildren) and many friends will miss him greatly. He was a long time member of the Chinook Rotary Club, an avid golfer, curler, poker player, football and hockey fan (he could cheer or curse with the best of them!)
A Celebration of Allen’s Life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (9303 - 5 St SE, Calgary, AB T2J 1K4)
The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses and other support staff in the ICU and Unit 66 at the South Calgary Campus Hospital.
