Giuseppina “Pina” Iuliani (Tiberio) of Calgary passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 81 on Monday, December 12, 2016.

Pina is survived by two loving sons, Bonifacio (Mary Lee) and John (Carey); one granddaughter Josie Marie; one sister Marianna Maione; two sisters-in-law, Eufemia Tiberio and Maria Santillo; one brother-in-law, Amedeo Iuliani; and several nieces and nephews. Pina was predeceased by her loving husband Angelo; her parents, Sebastiano and Addolorata Tiberio; her in-laws, Bonifacio and Loreta Iuliani; her brother Antonio Tiberio; and her brothers-in-law Carmen Santillo and Antonio Maione.

Pina was born on September 22, 1935 in Sepino, Italy to Sebastiano and Addolorata (Petrillo) Tiberio. In 1956, at the age of 21, Pina immigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings. Pina and Angelo exchanged nuptials July 11, 1959. They spent their early years of marriage living in several remote locations of the Rocky Mountains. Pina’s life was enriched with her two sons, two daughters-in-law, and one very loved granddaughter. Her immediate family was truly the gleam in her eye and the beat in her heart. Her life work was devoted to caring for her family and home. She was well known for her cooking and baking skills, along with her ability to entertain large groups of people. Pina loved being a hostess and welcoming guests into her home. Pina was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed sewing clothing for herself and family. She was also a masterful gardener. Starting and sharing plants with others brought her pleasure. She always enjoyed reminiscing and her laughter was contagious. Pina will always be remembered for being kind, generous and thoughtful.

The family wishes to acknowledge the professional and compassionate care provided at Peter Lougheed Centre and Cedars Villa Extendicare. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of donors choice.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. As per Pina's request, the casket will be closed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Community (800-85th Street SW) on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
