Condolence: My sympathies and condolences on the loss of Fred. We will miss Fred at the Calgary Metal Detecting Club - Fred was a true gentleman. He was always thrilled to talk about the hobby, and so pleased when he was able to display something newly found, or a unique discovery he had purchased from the flea-market. His passion for the hobby of metal detecting, his willingness to help out newcomers to the hobby, and friendly nature made him one of the CMDC's best ambassadors.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about Fred's passing. I visited with him earlier this fall at an antique show. We met as members of the Calgary Metal Detecting Club.

Fred was a wealth of information and brought in many amazing relics for our Finds of the Month presentations.

He was tenacious and passionate in his treasure hunting and had a love of Western Canadian history. I think that's why I liked him and enjoyed our chats.

I will miss him, as I'm sure many of the long-time club members will.

I'll be praying for Fred's family and friends. May God comfort you in this time.
