The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mae Huczel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Auntie Mae had a 'Golden Spirit.' She didn't hesitate to welcome me into her home and heart when I was young and would visit during summer vacation. My fondest memory is of Auntie Mae coming to Winnipeg in June 1991. I was 9 months pregnant and she had come to be with me for my son's birth. I remember Auntie Mae putting the finishing touches on a beautiful crocheted receiving blanket. She had already knit my son booties and a bonnet and a wee jacket. But my son was 2 weeks late and he didn't have the chance to meet his 'Great Auntie Mae'...God Bless you Auntie Mae...You made this world we live in a much better place. And you will be forever and deeply missed.
