The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jack Olstad can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jack Keith Olstad
Jack was born on December 5, 1931 and, in his words, became inanimate on January 2, 2016. He lived his life fully, with enormous spirit and good will.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rose; daughter Marva; sisters Gail Hart and Darlene Parlee; and numerous relatives and friends.

A special thank you to the emergency unit and unit 32 staff at the Foothills Hospital for the care they gave Jack in his final days.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Donations may be made in Jack's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta (www.heartandstroke.ab.ca). Arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services (403) 277-7343.
