The First Decision: Burial or Cremation?

This is one of the major decisions which must be made when making funeral arrangements.  If the deceased has not specified burial or cremation, then a decision in this regard will have to be made.  You may wish to consider if there are any religious beliefs for burial or cremation, or if the family has traditionally chosen burial or cremation in the past.  Many times people believe that cremation is a more economical choice, so make the decision based on cost alone.  Others choose cremation because they think it is simpler, when in fact quite often there are more decisions to be made when cremation is chosen, such as viewing or no viewing prior to cremation, cremation container, urn, keepsakes and jewelry, witnessing the start of the cremation, scattering or cemetery, etc.  If you are having difficulty deciding between burial and cremation, we can help explain all of the different options and costs associated with each, so that you make the decision that is right in all regards.

Cremation is a process that uses heat and evaporation to reduce the body to bone fragments (often referred to as ashes or cremated remains). If you are considering cremation, you will find information on our cremation packages and prices if you click here
